About United Academy

Established in 1997, United Academy is a higher secondary educational institution located in Kumaripati, Lalitpur. Affiliated with the National Examinations Board (NEB), the academy offers Grade 11 and 12 programmes in Science, Management, Humanities and Law.

United Academy is part of the United Academy Group, an educational network that includes other institutions operating at different academic levels. The academy itself focuses on higher secondary education, providing students with academic pathways that prepare them for university studies and future professional opportunities.

The institution places emphasis on academic achievement, discipline, character development and the overall growth of students. Its educational philosophy recognises that education should extend beyond classroom instruction to include moral values, responsible behaviour, practical skills and social awareness.

The academy's guiding motto, “Clean the Country through the Classroom (CCC),” reflects its belief that positive social change begins with education and the development of responsible citizens.

Its stated vision is to nurture happy, disciplined and obedient students, while its mission focuses on providing quality secondary education and preparing learners to respond to real-world challenges.

Academic Programs

United Academy offers four NEB-affiliated academic programmes at the +2 level. Each programme provides a foundation for further education and allows students to pursue different academic and career interests.

Science

The +2 Science programme is designed for students interested in scientific study and careers in medicine, engineering, information technology, biotechnology and related disciplines.

The programme includes core subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Computer Science. Laboratory work and practical activities complement classroom instruction, helping students develop analytical thinking, scientific understanding and problem-solving abilities.

The academy also provides pre-medical and pre-engineering preparation, alongside academic support and counselling for students planning to pursue competitive university entrance examinations.

Management

The +2 Management programme introduces students to business, finance and organisational studies. Subjects include Accountancy, Economics and Marketing, providing a foundation for students interested in business administration, entrepreneurship and management-related careers.

The programme encourages students to understand business concepts and develop analytical, communication and decision-making skills. Students interested in further studies in BBA, BBS, Chartered Accountancy and related fields can use this programme as a foundation for their academic progression.

The academy also highlights opportunities for participation in clubs, internships and competitions as part of students' wider learning experience.

Humanities

The +2 Humanities programme provides an academic foundation in social sciences and the study of human society, behaviour and culture.

Its subject areas include Sociology, Psychology, Political Science and Mass Communication. The programme is suitable for students interested in journalism, social work, psychology, development studies and other fields connected with society and public life.

Research activities, field visits and media-related engagement provide opportunities to connect academic concepts with social realities.

Law

The +2 Law programme introduces students to legal studies, jurisprudence and constitutional law. It is intended for learners interested in understanding legal systems, justice, rights and public service.

The programme incorporates debates, case studies, legal writing and moot court activities. These experiences help students develop logical reasoning, public speaking, research and argumentation skills.

The four programmes are affiliated with the National Examinations Board, and students complete their higher secondary education through the prescribed Grade 11 and Grade 12 curriculum.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

United Academy encourages students to connect classroom knowledge with practical experiences, research and activities outside conventional lessons.

Project work is an important part of its teaching and learning approach. Students undertake assignments based on classroom learning and information collected during field visits to commercial, industrial, media, sociocultural and scientific organisations. These projects help learners develop research skills and understand how academic concepts apply in different professional and social settings.

The academy also follows a Student as a Tutor Programme, in which students take turns presenting lessons or explaining topics they have studied. This approach encourages active participation, communication and a deeper understanding of academic content.

Other learning-support activities include orientation sessions on course content, chapter-wise model questions, revision classes, practical assignments and academic discussions.

Community Engagement & Global Outlook

United Academy's educational philosophy places importance on the relationship between education, social responsibility and responsible citizenship. Its motto, “Clean the Country through the Classroom,” reflects the institution's belief that classrooms can contribute to wider social development by nurturing disciplined and responsible individuals.

The academy encourages students to engage in social and community-oriented activities through student organisations, awareness programmes, cultural events and collaborative initiatives.

Its participation in guest lectures, workshops, leadership programmes and career counselling activities also exposes students to perspectives beyond their regular academic subjects.
